Amy Hospodarsky is a seasoned nonprofit leader with extensive experience in board service and executive management. As a Board President and Executive Committee Member for numerous organizations, Amy has honed her skills in governance, strategic planning, and effective board management. Her leadership on boards has been instrumental in driving organizational success and fostering impactful community initiatives. On the administrative side, Amy has served as the senior staff member of a board-led organization, navigating the challenges of being an employee accountable to a board. Her ability to blend operational and oversight experience provides a unique perspective on the dynamics between boards and executive staff.

In addition to her nonprofit leadership roles, Amy spent over a decade in marketing, public and community relations, and charitable giving in the corporate world. Her expertise spans event sponsorship, corporate foundations, and brand development through charitable giving and community involvement. During her corporate tenure, she led marketing teams, specialized in brand development, and served as Treasurer and Secretary of The MidWestOne Bank Foundation and founding director of “Rock the Chalk,” an annual chalk art festival in Iowa City.

Outside of work you can find Amy walking her beagle, reading a good novel, watching a documentary, dancing in her living room, listening to records, scrolling tik-tok, keeping up with her 11-year-old son, or losing track of time in a thrift store. She loves Star Wars, leather jackets, summertime, Diet Coke, old houses, Doc Martens, flowers, bad movie sequels, and traveling near and far. She resides in Iowa City, IA with her son Brooks, partner Kyle, and dog, Maya.
